Black History Month poster series

As part of a series of promotions during Black History Month 2022, I designed posters, displayed in Gaylord College, showcasing various noteworthy Black media professionals.

Poster for GIFT presentation at AEJMC 2019

I was a finalist for the Great Ideas for Teaching competition at the 2019 AEJMC conference in Toronto. The finalists showcased our work with a poster presentation. My entry detailed a pedagogical style I use while teaching basic design elements.

Oklahoma Scholastic Media “Media Day” programs over the years

Each fall and spring, as part of my duties as the OSM director, I put together a conference for scholastic journalism students and teachers. Below is a sampling of program designs I have completed over the past decade.

Book cover redesign for Ghost Glimpser series

I released the first book in my young adult series, Ghost Glimpser Case #1: Cadence Pride and the Missing Memorabilia in 2011 during a much earlier version of Amazon’s digital publishing platform. In order to update the look in advance of the next book in the series coming out, I’m working on a redesign for all book covers in this series. Here’s a look at the most recent draft of the cover for Case #1.

Uterus Chat short film promotional poster

This poster served as the promotional poster for the short film I wrote and my husband filmed, Uterus Chat. And below that, I shaped a similar design for use as a postcard-sized handout to pass out at film festivals.

OSMI logo and promotional items

I developed this logo for a grant-funded program I directed for seven years, the Oklahoma Scholastic Media Initiative, which provided training and funding to high school media teachers to help their students start or improve digital journalism publications. Below the logo is the front page of the program for the 2016 workshop.
